A star jump is like a squat jump, but with an interesting twist once you’re in the air – you splay your arms and legs out like a 5-pointed star.
Step 1: Stand like you’re going to do a squat jump. Feet should be shoulder width apart, hands in front of your chest.
Step 2: Squat down by pushing your butt back and swing your arms downward in the same movement. Just like the squat jump.
Step 3: Immediately explode upward from the squat position, with the goal being to jump as high as possible.
In mid-air, extend your arms and legs out like a star.
Step 4: Bring your arms and legs back in, and land on both feet.
Reposition if necessary, and repeat.
