Sick of iceberg lettuce? Who isn’t!?
I found a nice article about the other greens that are actually dark green and colorful, and full of nutrients.
But gone are the days when a salad was a wedge of iceberg lettuce dotted with a few radish and tomato slices. Nowadays, a lovely assortment of feathery, frilly, curled and serrated “greens” — some actually in beautiful shades of red, purple and burgundy — adorn the produce section, beckoning to become part of a salad.
