That’s a pretty typical wait time at Denny’s. It’s usually crowded and extremely slow for whatever reason.

Personally I’m a big fan of Legend’s, which is maybe 1/2 mile down the road (Clearfield’s “East End.”) I absolutely love the food and the service. The only drawback is they don’t have my favorite beer (Guinness) on tap.

the food was okay. the service was absolutely horrible. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our burgers. The manager said they lost our order! 20 more minutes we waited, we were given 2 small unappealing pieces of pie for our long wait. WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN. some of these reviews are written by owners and employees. BEWARE

This place is FANTASTIC!

Their menu is Huge. They have pizza, wings, steaks, seafood, Mexican, Italian, Irish, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, gyros…

But it’s the burgers that do it:
1/3 lb., 1/2 lb., 1-lb., 3-lb., 6-lb., 15-lb., 50-lb., 100-lb. . I e-mailed to request a 15-pound burger, as my friends and I were coming from Ohio and DC to meet at Denny’s Beer Barrel. Denny wrote me back (how often does THAT happen today?). He said he wouldn’t be there that day, but he would take care of it. Because I told him what time we would be there, the Ginormous Burger was on our table within 10 minutes of our arrival. Fantastic!

Great service, great burger, ice-cold beer, and multiple football games on the TVs. Fantastic!!

I’ll be driving thru PA in the next couple of weeks, and we’re going to stay over in Clearfield, just to go to Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub!
