Written by Arnie Baker in 1997, this book is kind of simple and outdated, but it’s not bad for being almost a decade old. Smart Cycling has a few good nuggets of info that are well worth the price of the book (a mere $9.75 at Amazon right now.) I bought the book at the end of last year while I was writing a report about motivation in cycling, and it didn’t disappoint.

The long section of sample indoor trainer workouts is easily worth the cost of the book. If you spend a lot of time on the trainer in the winter, this will provide some much needed variety.

I’ll try to write a complete book review in the future.

Cheesy lines aside (do you watch Millionaire??), here’s a cool product from LifeLineUSA called the Power Wheel.

It’s like an ab wheel, but not just a regular old ab wheel. You can actually put your feet in this one!

(Yes, you can find the ab rollers pretty cheap or just make your own, which I highly recommend if you don’t have one - it’s an intense full-body workout. But if you can spare the money, try one of these beauties.)
